Host institutions:

• King’s College – established in 2003 as an A Level institution; developed into a full-fledged institution of higher learning in 2009; objective of making world-class education available to Nepali youths at home at an affordable cost; special interest in progressive education
• Kathmandu Living Labs (KLL) – a non-for-profit civic technology company; works with the World Bank to promote Open Data for Resilience Initiative (OpenDRI) projects; in 2012 began to map all the educational institutions, health facilities, road networks, tangled mesh of gallies, religious sites and other geographic features of Kathmandu Valley using OpenStreetMap and mapping workshops
• Karkhana – experimentation, collaboration, and play; both makers and teachers. The maker, in her pursuit of solutions, breaks new ground. The teacher nurtures a new generation of makers. This allows Karkhana to develop products  that are tailored to local needs yet inform the global conversation on the future. Karkhana is located in the Gyaneshwor neighborhood of Kathmandu.

• Teach for Nepal – a movement of outstanding university graduates and young professionals who are committed to end education inequity in Nepal starting with two years of fellowship teaching in public schools. The fellowship is a two year long, full-time paid employment opportunity. Fellows teach in public schools and bring about academic achievement and transformative impact in their students. At the same time, they harness their leadership skills through the teaching experience and intensive development training and support.
